Workshops for expressive creativity – freedom by doing
Every person has the potential for creativity. I know that from personal experience. While working in the corporate world and institutions in Bulgaria, I never imagined that my work would ever appear in a Hollywood TV show or on an IKEA poster. We are made to be artists and there is nothing more natural than getting to creativity. Stress in everyday life and monotonous work make us lose direction. We clutter our inner child-artist under a bunch of unhappiness and boredom, but life can be quite different. That’s why I offer you programs for expressive arts and manual labor by making 2D and 3D artistic forms with different types of materials, plants, flowers, branches, metal, acrylic, paper. We learn the principles, but the main thing is that we are looking for freedom of expression and get to know ourselves better. We forget about all the knowledge with which our heads are stuffed and we become children again. During the course we work with emotions and beliefs that have distanced us from creativity. Very suitable for people in adulthood, stuck in everyday life and in the analytical mind, especially for intellectuals who do not work with their hands.
N.B! Expressive creativity expresses, it does not depict. It is abstract in nature. Abstract art originated in the early 20th century as a spiritual search of a group of artists from the circle of Elena Blavatskaya and Rudolf Steiner, with the pioneers being great artists such as Hilma af Klint, Kandinsky, Mondrian. Expressive creativity is not intended to depict the surrounding world, but to express states of man’s inner world, such as anger, sadness, anxiety, but also joy of life, playfulness, courage. These are not courses in artistic technique, nor do we strive to paint something in a classic style. This type of creativity has proven to help to better express feelings and the relationship between body and consciousness, develops abstract thinking, leads to inner freedom and a more authentic life.
Ikebana Courses
I offer certified and free courses of the avant-garde Japanese School of Ikebana Sogetsu, of which I am a certified instructor under the name Shinjitsu (means “Truth”). For this certificate, I studied for 6 years in Rome, Italy. I am currently based in Varna, but I can travel for workshops all over Bulgaria and abroad. Ikebana is an active form of meditation through three-dimensional creativity that enters into “here and now”. An hour of work with plant materials of any kind reduces the stress and give us more and self-awareness. We study the rules, but then we necessarily expand and build on it to get to authentic creativity. The courses are suitable for all kinds of people, especially those who want to become freer, get out of stress, get to know themselves better and deal with some blockage.
Original and environmentally friendly decoration of events
I like to work with plants, mainly with branches and leaves. My style is contemporary, clean, asymmetric, I love the avant-garde in art and I’m very influenced by it. It’s more, I think. I like decorating with intertwining leaves and with fewer flowers. If you are looking for fresh, non-standard and interesting decorating with plant materials and flowers for your event, I am your person. I work environmentally, I do not use Oasis, the sponge-like foam, because it practically never breaks down, instead I compose the leaves and flowers only in clean water. I studied floral design first and then ikebana for six years. I am influenced by the Japanese avant-garde masters in floral design.
